Over 300 Groups & SACCOs in Kitui West benefit with over 1.5m Shillings; Financed by Mr. Ben Muasya.

Kitui business man Ben Muasya today concluded his tour of Kitui west constituency which covered the four wards of Mutonguni, Kauwi, Matinyani and Kithumula kwa Mutonga ward.

Ben has been promoting community empowerment through financing of small groups of women and youth. Over four saccos and 300 self help groups benefited across the constituency with a kitty of over kshs 1.5million to support various groups and saccos in the activities they do.

Ben has also promised to support more groups in future. Reacting to this noble gesture residents across the constituency were ecstatic saying they wished the program could have started earlier to empower them. Community leaders louded the initiative as God sent to the ordinary mwanaichi. They said such gestures are rare among our people.

Mr. Muasya has also been in the front line in sensitizing the residents to register with the on going registration for Kitui County Health Insurance Coverage saying this will greatly boost community’s income through cutting down the families’ medical expenditure.
